I’M STILL A WOMAN
Our conversations cover wide
An ocean of topics profound and snide
But lest you think I am remiss
We haven’t talked about a kiss
I’m still a woman.
We’ve laughed and joked until we cried
About the silliness of pride
But, even then I think of eyes
Brown, beautiful so close to mine
I’m still a woman.
The Bible we have discussed in length
As to the cure for powerlessness
But, in my mind I see your face
Fixated on my intent gaze.
I’m still a woman.
Then we have talked of lovers past,
And hearts embroiled in a morass
But, I’m anticipating your caress
In the future, as you may guess
For, I am still a woman.
