SUNRISE
From the lap of the universe
I saw the sun sit up
Pirouetting up to her full height
Magnificent in a dress of fiery tangerine…
Waltzing across the horizon
Blinding in her splendor
With bouquets of sunflower rays trailing behind
She continued her dance across a lavender sky.
